Past Imperfect Storm

I do think it’s unfortunate that Lost in Space tends to get the short end of the geek fan stick.
I confess to some artistic license here, the original Comic Con did not take place at the San Diego Convention Center, but it just seemed to iconic not to take advantage of it.
I was actually more of a Lost in Space fan when I was a kid. It wasn’t until later that I learned about Star Trek. Little did I know…
Of course, Melonpool never told Zortic that his visit with Roddenberry caused Star Trek to be cancelled.
Of course, as an alien, Zortic probably wouldn’t qualify for the draft, but it never hurts to play it safe.
Splink’s line is a take off of of Spock’s line from Star Trek, A Voyage Home. Spock probably would have said this if they went back a little further in time.
I had always sworn that I wasn’t going to have Zortic visit Earth, but the reason for doing it this time was just too perfect to ignore. Besides, as you’ll see, it’s not quite the Earth that we know.
Lost in Space is actually a little foreshadowing. Remember it.
I wrote this sequence shortly after surviving a string of 4 hurricanes in a row. So this was pretty much a case of putting that experience into outer space.
