Welcome to the very first Zortic strip ever. Well, not quite, I had played with the concept and characters for a long time. But this is the really the beginning of if it all. Ironically, the actual run of Zortic began the same weekend that Peanuts ended and Charles Schultz passed away.
Needless to say, this strip introduces Zortic and his main nemesis, Chubby the Lump. If Lucas Arts asks, Chubby is a parody of the Godfather. If the mafia asks, he’s a parody of Jabba the Hutt.
Boy, I remember watching you draw that in the corner of the tech office. Good times. Can’t believe it was that long ago.
