Hopefully an obvious Close Encounters of the Third Kind reference. Kind of like doing ET with ET being familiar and the family being aliens, I thought it would be fun to see how an alien handles UFO sightings.
I hope this panel structure works. The difference between the bored, routine Zortics and the panicked, frantic Zortics can be easy to glaze over.
Zortic’s costumes originally had a slight nod to the uniforms in Star Trek the Motion Picture. And since those were widely criticized as being “footy pajamas”, it’s perfectly appropriate to think the same thing about Zortic’s outfit.
