So there it is. Zortic stopped Melonpool from cancelling Star Trek, but he caused the cancellation of Lost in Space. Now you know.
In the original story it was assumed that the car was picked up and moved to the junkyard. But now you know the truth.
It was important to leave the other time machine in the past with wiped out software, so hitching a ride in an already established trip seemed like the best choice.
Believe it or not, all of the distribution of time displaced time machines does fit in perfectly with the original Melonpool time line.
This is based on an actual incident, the first time they filmed an Orion, the color lab kept fighting to “correct” the green tinge that kept coming through. Little did they know she was really purple.
