Origins
I have to confess to being a Monkees fan. Obviously they were essentially a parody of the Beatles, but it was a great example of parody that took on a life of it’s own.
Something I really took pride in originally was experimenting with panel presentations and layout. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. This one I was pretty happy with.

Here’s a little attempt at social commentary. I touched on that a bit more than I expected with this strip, but I found you can’t really do much writing without doing some.
Here’s another stand alone gag. The dullness of slower than light speed travel was going to be a running gag, but focusing on boringness seemed pretty boring, so I’m glad that didn’t last long.

Finding dramatic lift offs has been a continuing challenge for this strip. Fortunately, since this was the first one nothing had been done before, so it was relatively easy.
