This was another example of a parody based on something that I didn’t previously know. So I forced myself to get the Island of Dr. Moreau movie to educate myself.
I’m sure it’s not too hard to see how I’m going to go from the Island of Dr. Moreau to the Cylons of Battlestar Galactica. So stay tuned!
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, this storyline is heading toward an Island of Dr. Moreau parody. Only instead of animals, it’s robots.
Jimmy’s original design was a bit more “cricket” oriented, but the direction of this story forced me to make him a little more Cylon-like. So hopefully it doesn’t throw off the Pinocchio reference too much
Today’s comic is pretty much designed solely to build up suspense. So I’m not going to say anything else about it.
