This following sequence was actually featured on a prominent Indiana Jones website (unfortunately I can’t find the link), but it was a thrill to see Zortic getting some appreciation for on of it’s parody subjects.

How many people still remember the Blair Witch Project. It was really big at the time.
The Animated Disney version of Tarzan had just been released prior to this strip, so it seemed like a good time to parody it.
I used to try to convince girls that I was just trying to save them from being sacrificed to a volcano, but it never really worked for me.
So I’m sure the King Kong reference is obvious. But how many of you caught the homage to the Great Grape Ape?
I couldn’t figure out where they would have gotten a “kiss the cook” apron that was spelled phonetically, so I just went with the traditional spelling there.
