It’s kind of a mixed blessing to go back and relive these old strips. I know a lot of people like to see the artistic development, but it does kind of make me cringe.
And here is the dramatic debut of Captain Red Bimbo! When I introduced her I had not idea how much she’d be tied to the characters and what a pivotal role she’d have in the new universe.
Little did I know when I wrote this that I’d be so tied up in Star Pirates, the online game in the future.
I’m sure I’ve said this before, but I always love text-less comics. There’s just something about that silence that emphasizes that slapstick effect.
I haven’t really used transporters much in either universe. It seems like such a distinctive Star Trek element. But I figured once in a while wasn’t too bad.
