Acting for ArtistsNeedless to say, this is a salute to the Muppet Show. Scooter always introduced the guest star by giving them their 5 minute call this way. And Zoie’s pep talk is a paraphrase of Bill Murray’s “lean mean fighting machine” speech to John Candy in Stripes. Unfortunately, instead of charging into a mud wrestling rink, Zortic charged into a taping of The View.
What you may not know is that this comic wasn’t originally there. After a rough start, I eventually figured out what I was doing with digital cartooning and was able to clean up my work (yes the old stuff was even rougher than it currently is). So I went back and redrew the original strips. And as a nod to George Lucas, “directors cuts” of the Star Wars series, I added a couple of additional strips. This was the first one.
