I think it’s a testimony to Steve’s ability to create such great characters that I felt so intimidated putting them into uncomfortable situations.

This is another comic that I felt really weird about. I knew how much Ralph would hate being called “Little Baby Ralphie”, but I just had to do it. But I was seriously nervous about ticking off Ralph.
I have to admit, I know what Ralph was thinking, but I still felt a little weirded out by this strip.
For me, this strip was the highlight of the crossover. At one point Steve and I had discussed putting together a T-shirt of Zortic and Melonpool in the Fan Farr fight.
With Melonpool and Zortic together, you just know there had to be some good Star Trek parody going on. So the iconic Kirk/Spock fight from the episode “Amok Time” was a perfect fit.
